There are dozens of urban fashion designers making their mark on the fashion industry. However, two of the most influential urban fashion designers include Jonas Bevacqua and Robert Wright, the co-founders of Lifted Research Group.
Who are Jonas Bevacqua and Robert Wright?
Jonas Bevacqua is an American-born clothing designer who specializes in designing clothing that appeals to the urban and hip-hop market. Robert Wright is a fashion designer who has extensive experience working in the fashion industry. He has worked with various sports and hip-hop celebrities to help them create fashion lines of their own.
How Did Lifted Research Group Get Started?
Lifted Research Group or LRG was the brainchild of Bevacqua and Wright. In 1999 the two pulled their resources and talents together and formed LRG. Bevacqua brought extensive business financing background and helped raise the money that was needed to start LRG, while Wright worked on getting the clothing samples down and pitching LRG Clothing to prospective buyers.
Where is Lifted Research Group Now?
LRG is a profitable urban fashion company that proudly has multiple clothing lines. The latest clothing line was launched in 2005 and was designed with multiple women’s clothing interests in mind. In 2006, LRG was pushed into the spotlight when it reached an agreement with T-Mobile to create a phone that incorporated the company’s logo.
Both Bevacqua and Wright work as mentors to various up and coming urban fashion desginers. Tragically in May of 2011 Jonas Bevacqua was found dead in his home. However, Wright plans to continue working on LRG and taking it to the next level as one of the top urban and hip-hop fashion labels.
